Finally, we can release our very first pizza vendor that we’ll be welcoming with open arms to MySliceFest in July. Scream For Pizza is lead by a duo based in Newcastle, bringing the ever-popular street food theme to the North East!


Scream For Pizza was born back in 2014 but was years in the making from partners, Vicky and Alex, who both quit their entertainment jobs in order to perfect the art of the Neapolitan pizza. Having trained at a Michelin-rated pizzeria in Naples, they really know their dough and we can’t wait to see what craziness they cook up for us on the festival day. Previous toppings have included ‘The Big Geordie Breakfast’ and ‘Spicy Siren’ so who knows that they could come up with by July but I, for one, am excited! I mean we’ve all been looking for an excuse to eat pizza for breakfast, let’s be honest…


Finalists in The British Street Food awards 2015, Vicky, Alex & ‘Goldie’ (their converted army bus) regularly cater for events and weddings and can usually be found at various spots around Newcastle Upon Tyne – follow them on Twitter to keep up. Even though ‘Goldie’ unfortunately can’t make it all the way down to London for our pizza festival, a Scream For Pizza stall with their brand new oven, ‘Nugget’, will be there (and I’d like to think, in spirit, ‘Goldie’ too) and I’m super eager to see their menu.


The start of 2016 has been crazy busy for them, but we managed to catch up with pizza connaisseur, Alex, who said they’ll be bringing “pizza so great you’ll be screaming for more. Think pizzas topped with bacon and maple syrup, Italian sausage & hot honey, truly meaty meatballs oozing with….. Who knows? Scream for Pizza, know no limits….”

Following a trip across the pond in the next few weeks, they’ll also be launching New York style slices, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled for those too.

That sounds so good, I think a trip to Newcastle is in order ‘cause I just can’t wait til MySliceFest!
